How to create a group in Teams
- Go to Chat on the left, select the Chat dropdown at the top, and then select Contacts
- Next, select Create a new contact group at the bottom. Name your group and select Create. You can always rename or delete your group later.
How to add people to a contact group
- Go to Chat on the left, select Contacts from the Chat dropdown and then choose More options beside the group’s name.
- Select Add a contact to this group, type the name of a team member, and then select Add.
How to rename a contact group
- Go to Chat on the left, select Contacts from the Chat dropdown, and then choose More options beside the group’s name.
- Select Rename this group, type a new name, and then choose Save.
Note: You can't change the name of the Favorites group.
How to delete a contact group
- Go to Chat on the left, select Contacts from the Chat dropdown, and then choose More options beside the group’s name.
- Next, select Delete this group.
How to remove someone from a contact group
Go to Chat on the left, select Contacts from the Chat dropdown, choose More options beside the person’s name, and then select Remove from this group.
