Problem

When using the GlobalProtect Desktop application, logging in and attempting to connect will result in GlobalProtect saying "connecting" but will never connect, like seen in the images below.


Solution


1. Open the GlobalProtect menu, then click on the three bars ("hamburger"), and click on "Settings" to open the settings page.



2. Select "gateway.colostate.edu," then delete this entry and close the settings page.

Note: Do not add the gateway entry back in!


3. Open the GlobalProtect menu again, then enter "gateway.colostate.edu" in the text field and click the Connect button.
