To follow these instructions, you must be an administrator on your Mac to install the print drivers and you must know your accounting code issued to you by your department printer administrator. If you have difficulty finding this information or following the contents of this article, please schedule an appointment with the AGHelp IT staff for remote support or you may perform a walk in at our office in Nutrien 168.

Installation

Download the Driver and mount the downloaded .dmg, then run the contained installation package.
Once you have hit the step Select Printer in the Wizard, select Don't See Your Printer?

Then enter the Printer's IP found in the table at the top of the article. Select the printer you want.

The printer will install. You can click Continue through the rest of the installer wizard then Close.

Accounting

To add accounting codes in macOS, you must add the accounting code on a Printer Preset rather than on the printer itself.

Open a document then select File > Print... (⌘P or ⌥⌘P in Applications that do not use the system dialogue for printing like Chrome or Adobe). You should get the native macOS print dialogue.

Scroll down to and select Printer Options then Xerox Features ⓘ

In the dropdown menu at the top, select Advanced

Then scroll down to Configuration: > Accounting...

Here you will enter the Accounting information for the user. Select Tracking Options >Tracking for All Jobs.

Uncheck Print Time PromptMask User ID, and Mask Account ID. Then Enter the Default User ID as the Accounting Code that was given to you by your Department's Printing Account manager. Leave the Default Account Type as Default Group Account

Hit OK twice to back out to the main print dialogue. So far, the settings you have changed will only be applied to the current print job. You will want to save these changes to a Printer Preset.

Select Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset...

Name the preset, then leave the preset as available for just the printer, not all printers, and leave the Type as a Print Job Preset

Now, whenever you want to print with this Accounting Code, you will have to print with this Preset for Xerox Accounting to work correctly.

Troubleshooting

If Xerox Features are not available in the Printer Options for a Xerox print queue after installing or updating the driver, Navigate to System Settings > Printers & Scanners and make sure Use Generic Printer Features is disabled in Printer Info... > Options & Supplies... > General
